An open home for scholarly work.
Panorama Press is an open publication system for research authored in Panorama Markdown. A paper becomes published when three eligible community members independently endorse it against a shared minimum standard.
The publishing process
Prepare your paper.
Create or upload a Panorama Markdown paper: your manuscript, references, and assets. Preview the rendered paper and resolve validation issues. Your source stays portable.
Make a submission.
Choose one or more disciplines and a license. Submit a fixed paper bundle with a stable ID and content hash. Every submission is an immutable record.
Request three endorsements.
Invite eligible community members or share an endorsement request. Each person independently reads the paper and completes the required assessment. Three distinct, verified accounts. No direct conflicts.
Publish to the community.
The third valid endorsement publishes the submission. Your paper becomes discoverable by discipline, with its assessments and endorsers visible alongside it. A public record, with a transparent history.
What an endorsement means
Each endorser checks the same minimum requirements and records an assessment of novelty, significance, evidence, and clarity.
- A clear contribution. An identifiable question, claim, or contribution.
- An understandable basis. Methods and evidence are described, or conceptual work is clearly labeled.
- Responsible attribution. Citations where needed, with no obvious plagiarism or fabricated sources.
- A readable, responsible paper. Coherent enough to evaluate, without an obvious safety, privacy, or integrity issue.
Endorsement establishes a minimum threshold for publication. It is not a guarantee of correctness or formal journal peer review.
Journals and conferences
Publish in one or more disciplines. Journals and conferences provide an optional venue, with their own editorial policies and review processes. A venue decision is separate from publication by endorsement.
The first planned journal, Empirical Educational Research, focuses on educational design and intervention in real classrooms.
